The numerical model utilized in this study is reconstructed from a 2D
numerical model developed by Nakajima (1994),
which is used to calculate convection in the Martian
atmosphere. Nakajima's original model is designed to calculate cumulus
convection in the terrestrial atmosphere. The source code of the
present model can be seen in Nakajima and Odaka (2000).
The detailed expressions of the model equations are shown in
Appendix A, and their forms of finite
difference are shown in Appendix B.
