f. Characteristics of Atmospheric Disturbances

Here, disturbances in Experiment S1800 will be illustrated. The time evolution of the precipitation distribution shows that precipitation in mid- and high latitudes is larger in this experiment than in experiments in which equilibrium states are obtained (e.g., Experiment S1570). Migration of disturbances from the equatorial region to mid-latitudes is not readily apparent.
